EU2 startet nicht auf Laptop

Hi, ich habe seit einiger Zeit nen Laptop und habe nun mal wieder EU2 rausgeholt und wollte es spielen.

CK und HOI liefen normal auf dem Laptop, doch EU2 hängt sich immer noch vor dem Binkvideo auf, es gibt nur nen schwarzen Bildschirm und wenn ich das per Task-Manager beende startet dann noch der Vorspann, danach aber ist aus die Maus.

Weiss jemand woran das liegen kann?
Braucht EU2 irgendwas was CK und HOI nicht brauchen?

Habt Ihr mal versucht, den AVi-Ordner umzubennen (z.B. in avi_old)?

hatte nach einer re-installation gleiches problem wie schon oben beschrieben. umbenennung von avi half auch bei mir. spiel läuft wieder, aber dafür flackert es nun alle 2 sekunden :mad: spiel ist so nicht wirklich spielbar...

was kann ich machen???

Ich hab mal im Paradox-Forum im Techsupport nachgeschaut, dort werden diese generischen Tips angeboten:


* What version of DirectX are you using? If it isn't fairly current (8.1 or later) then update it. It isn't a bad idea to remove DirectX completely and then reinstall a completely new version. See the Resources section for a nifty uninstall tool if you're running Win9x/WinME/Win2000.
* What video card and drivers are you using? If they're not current then update them. This is particularly important for owners of Nvidia cards who must be using a v.40.xx driver (or later...current build is Dec. 4, 2002) to avoid issues.
* Is everything running normally outside of the game? Run DirectX diagnostics on the device to confirm that it’s working properly: Start-->Run: dxdiag.exe then Display-->Test DirectDraw
* Try turning off the DirectDraw hardware acceleration of your video card (AFAIK the 3D and texture acceleration aren’t used by the game)
* Try physically moving the video card to a different slot in the motherboard if possible. Ideally this will be as far away from the sound card as possible. Sometimes they emit enough signal noice to cause problems with one another.
* Look for IRQ conflicts on your system and resolve them if/where possible. The exact method varies considerably depending on your card and OS.

Ich hatte bei meinem alten Rechner (mit 2k, daher kein automatisches Ausblenden wie ab XP) das Problem, daß ich in der SysTray ein animiertes Icon hatte. Sobald ich das dazu gehörende Programm beendet hatte lief EU2 einwandfrei. Vielleicht ist etwas ähnliches Euer Problem.

Kleiner Tipp : Bei mir ging das einfach weg, indem ich die Escape-Taste zweimal drücke...

Hey ho, bin ganz neu hier und hab auch keine große ahnung von programmierung oder so, aber könnte mir jemand das auch für nen dummi wie mich erklären...?

Findet Ihr den Ordner?
Rechtsklick drauf, den Eintrag 'Umbenennen' anwählen, draufklicken, irgendeinen Namen eingeben, fertig.
